      Locations: St . Louis, MO, Las Vegas, NV, Cincinnati, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, Midland, GA, Roanoke, VA, Richmond, VA, Norfolk, VA, South Portland, ME or Latham, NY., Louisville, KY.

      Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites (major offices) used for collaboration, community, and connection. This position can be primarily virtual, however, will be based within 50 miles of a pulse point site listed above.

      Work Hours: M-F - Scheduled 8-hour shift between 12 pm – 8:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.

      The Registered Dietitian is responsible for planning and conducting programs to educate patients about nutrition and administering medical nutrition therapy.

      How you will make an Impact:

      • Conducts a nutrition assessment and obtains nutrition history from the patient.

      • Consult with physician and other health care personnel to determine patient's nutritional needs and diet restrictions.

      • Plans therapeutic diets and implements preparation and service of meals for patients in hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare facilities.

      • Instruct patients about the meal plan and dietary changes, and establish goals and objectives to help meet the plan.

      • Evaluate nutritional care and provide follow-up continuity of care.

      • Documents nutrition care plans.

      • Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diets.

      • Instructs patients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation.

      • Educates staff on nutrition and diet therapy.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Requires BA/BS and minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

      • Registered dietitian is required.

      Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

      • Nutritional coaching experience for members with conditions such as CAD, COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, HTN, and HF.

      • Ability to meet necessary internet speed requirements and adhere to work-at-home agreements.

      For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $59,136 to $88,704.
