Job summary
The responsibility of the postholder is to participate in the planning and delivery of individual care provided by the multi-disciplinary team
They will work independently under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing holistic evidenced based high quality care to patients and will be professionally accountable for their actions.
They will supervise and delegate appropriately to support staff within the team and they will support and supervise students and learners who are on placement.
Main duties of the job
Maintain a professional portfolio, identifying role and skill developments in line with the NMC Code of professional practice.
Keep up to date with current national developments in nursing practice and policy
Ensure NMC revalidation requirements are met
To contribute toTrust wide/departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Trust dress code
Uphold the Trust's values and behaviours and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the post holder, maintaining public confidence and the Trusts reputation for delivering excellent care
Maintain professional working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her business.
