      LCH 7P Neonatal Progressive Care Nursery:NPCN is a step down unit from the NICU. NPCN cares for Level II and III babies including but not limited to trachs, ostomies, pre-ops, PCVCs and PIVs, High Flow Nasal Canula, babies on at least 50% enteral feedings, NAS, etc. The unit is licensed for 32 beds and have the capacity to go up to 36 babies when NICU is above capacity as well. NPCN receives babies from the newborn nursery and transfers from LCH NICU as well as outlying hospitals. NPCN see much of the same diagnoses as the NICU.

      Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.

      Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital(LCH)has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children's hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship children's hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 10 bed PICU, a 10 bed Cardiac ICU (expanding to 24 bed PICU and 20 bed CVICU by the end of 2024), an 85-bed Level IV NICU,and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children's Hospital is also Charlotte's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.       Job Summary

      The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.

      • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.

      • Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
      • Collaborates with healthcare consumer and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.

      Physical Requirements
      Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing required.

      Education, Experience and Certifications.
      Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support required per policy guidelines. Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.

      Pay Range

      $34.90 - $52.35
