      Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (8:30am - 5pm)

      Works under the direction of the clinic providers and practice manager or practice supervisor. Participates as a team member in the implementation of the nursing process in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and/or directors of operations and quality. Responsible and accountable for a group of patients spanning all ages, cultures and disability concerns for a designated time frame. Functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. Assists with training, onboarding, and professional development efforts of new and/or existing clinical team members including Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses. Mentors office staff and facilitates team development.

      Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

      • Experienced Clinical Nursing skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability
      • Demonstrated ability to interact with patients in promoting an excellent and safe patient experience
      • Ability to measure, document, and monitor patient vitals
      • Ability to obtain a basic medical history including chief complaint, medication history, social history, and family history
      • Knowledge and understanding to appropriately triaging patients.
      • Establishes excellent rapport with patients including patient education
      • Ability to perform health assessments and provide preventative education
      • Ability to prepare patients for all types of visits and in-office procedures using the appropriate medical supplies.
      • Ability to communicate patients’ health and behavioral status to providers
      • Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and co-workers by following standards and procedures.
      • Demonstrates necessary functions to maintain continuity of care for patients
      • Knowledge and experience of administrating medications
      • Extensive clinical knowledge to assist patient questions over the phone and in-person
      • Appropriate triage of patient questions and concerns around medical conditions
      • Ability to handle difficult patient interactions with ease.
      • Performs immunizations, injections, preparation of medications, and POC testing
      • Knowledge and appropriate use of medical terminology

      Education/Training

      • Graduate from accredited school of nursing required
      • 1-3 years nursing experience preferred

      Licenses/Certification:

      • Current RN License
      • BLS Certified

      Physical Demands:

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended use of computer. Required specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Prepares exam rooms for providers between patient contact
      • Maintains clinical competency, continued education, and RN license
      • Reviews, interprets, and manages clinical documentation
      • Works collaboratively with other health care professionals in providing outcome-oriented care
      • Demonstrates problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
      • Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and co-workers by following standards and procedures.
      • Ability to assist in inbox management and refills according to Sturdy Health Medical Group policy
      • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record environment and office workflows
      • Commitment to patient experience and quality improvement in the outpatient setting
      • Ability to schedule new and established patient appointments.
      • Understanding provider requests and complete them in a timely manner
      • Knowledge and comfort managing prior authorization and referral process
      • Work collaboratively with office staff on programs to improve patient outcomes
