      Registered Nurses – Emergency Department

      Dunedin Hospital

      Salary Band – $73,566 - $103,630 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

      • Permanent position available!
      • 0.7 FTE / 56 hours per fortnight

      The Emergency Department includes a triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles along with ambulatory care spaces. It carries out all acute cares for adults and paediatrics including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries and so much more.

      The Emergency Department includes

      • A triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles along with ambulatory care spaces.
      • Acute cares for adults and paediatrics including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries and so much more.
      • Develop your skills in this area of nursing including: a comprehensive orientation programme;
      • On-going development in emergency nursing skills e.g. Trauma Nursing Core Course, Triage Course, and Advanced Life Support.
      • A dynamic and interesting area to work.

      To succeed in this role you will need to have:

      • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
      • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
      • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
      • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
      • Previous experience in an acute setting would be an advantage

      Utu whānui | Salary range

      This role belongs to the NZNO Nursing & Midwifery Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($73,566 p.a.) pro rata and Step 7 ($103,630 p.a.) pro rata of the RN scale .
