      We have a Part-Time, night shift position who will be responsible for providing treatment for forensic patients throughout the West Central Region.

      Arnett Center of Hope offers private, individual, and compassionate care to maltreated patients. The program serves people with allegations of sexual abuse, sexual assault, molestation, human trafficking, physical abuse and neglect. Our patients are evaluated by a specially trained forensic nurse. Forensic nurses collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of CPT Physicians, Emergency Room staff, Law Enforcement, and DCS, to provide our patients with a holistic care approach and support, while caring for the unique needs of these individuals. Forensic medical physical assessment, evidence collection, forensic documentation, forensic photography, and courtroom testimony are all unique skills learned and executed by the forensic nurse. This position requires extreme detail and organization.       Seeking nurses with at least 3 years of experience for this role. Candidates with RN experience in a fast-paced high acuity setting such as ICU, ED, L&D, or OR are preferred.

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

      Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities

      • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
      • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
      • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
      • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
      • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
