  Main duties of the job

  The Registered Nurse role involves providing complex care to clients within their own homes. Duties may include non-invasive ventilation, enteral feeding, suctioning, diabetes management, medication administration, oxygen therapy, and seizure management. The successful candidate will be a qualified Nurse with current NMC registration, possessing a caring personality and relevant experience.

As part of your induction, you will shadow another member of your team. This helps you understand your new role and get to know people in your team. Your colleagues and management team will work with you during your induction to help you put your training into practice and answer any questions you may have. You’ll start building your own support network from day one – this will include your management team, colleagues and departments at Group Support. You will be spending your time with our client within their own home where you will be supporting with their daily routine. Your day to day activities may include: •Non-invasive Ventilation •Enteral Feeding •Suctioning •Diabetes Management •Medication •Oxygen Therapy •Seizure Management About you You must be a qualified Nurse, and hold current NMC registration. You will be expected to utilize skills and experience to meet the high delivery of care to clients with complex health needs within the client's home. That’s why, if you have a caring personality and some relevant experience, we’ll give you access to online and classroom training in specific complex care needs. Depending on the client, you may be working on your own or part of a team. If you wish and have the availability, you could provide to support more than one client. Before you start, you’ll have the chance to meet your client and their family. And when you do, you’ll have day-to-day support with a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager always on hand to answer your questions.
