      Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
      Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

      $49.49 - $70.24 an hour - Per Diem Nights, Various shifts and hours per week
      **Range includes per diem and night differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

      Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery who participates in the accomplishment of Boulder Community Health’s and the Family Birth Center’s mission, vision and goals by utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and provide direct patient care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for coordinating the resources needed by patients and families, promotes patient satisfaction and facilitates the achievement of quality clinical and cost outcomes.

      Qualifications
      •Colorado RN license in good standing.
      •BLS certification required by end of conditional period.
      •NRP for Family Birth Center required by end of conditional period.
      •ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
      •1 year of L&D experience required

      Responsibilities
      •Performs comprehensive assessments of maternal and neonatal patients, addressing biopsychosocial, educational, safety, and discharge needs
      •Evaluates ancillary staff competencies and delegates tasks appropriately based on skill level and scope of practice
      •Develops and prioritizes individualized, evidence-based care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
      •Implements timely, safe interventions across perinatal areas including labor, delivery, recovery, high-risk antepartum/intrapartum/postpartum, mother-baby couplet care, transitional newborn care, and special care nursery
      •Provides patient and family education, ensuring understanding and participation in care and decision-making
      •May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer.
      •Continuously evaluates and revises the plan of care based on patient outcomes and interdisciplinary feedback
      •Monitors performance of support staff to ensure safe, competent care delivery
      •Maintains real-time, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
      •Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts
