Job Description

- 0.8 FTE/ 72 Hours per fortnight

- Work within the Southern Blood & Cancer Service,
- Monday – Friday in Outpatients,
- Prioritise the best interest of the service and patients,
- Hours may extend to occasional weekends, rostered shifts, or stat days,
- Ensure an adequate skill mix across all rosters for the safe administration of chemotherapy, (flexibility is required from time to time).
- Supervise & assist with outpatient clinics,
- Assess patients - symptom control and management;
- Lead ‘on treatment’ clinics and patient education;
- Conduct psychosocial assessment and support, administration of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies or procedures,
- Must have current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC,
- The right to work in New Zealand.
- Previous acute Oncology/Haematology experience is preferred,
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.

Salary Band – $73,000 - $103,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver
Manoeuvre across a variety of areas - chemotherapy and supportive treatment administration, radiation therapy and clinic support, and at times, within the acute ward 8C.

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($73,566 p.a) and Step 7 ($103,630 p.a prorata) of the RN scale
