  We are seeking a Registered Nurse or LPN to join our Urology department. This position is a part time core, scheduled 32 hours per week and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package or a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.

  Mid Columbia Medical Center is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.   Responsibilities

  The Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for patient care within an assigned clinic or nursing unit/department and participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of the RN Clinic Lead or Practice Manager, with clinical direction by the Director Clinic Nursing Operations. Performs RN responsibilities as defined by Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse {(ORS. 678.150/851-045-0030 through 851-045-0100} Nurse Practice Act (2008)}.

  As defined in the performance standards, the Clinic Registered Nurse assists in the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following established patient care standards for MCMC outpatient clinics.

  Qualifications

  Education:

  • Graduated from accredited school of nursing
  • BSN preferred.

  Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS required.
  • Current applicable Oregon and Washington RN licenses are required.
  • For Cardiology department only: ACLS is required.

  Experience:

  • Six months nursing experience or successful completion of nursing internship program preferred.
  • Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

  Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, Microsoft Office, voicemail, internet/intranet to access, organize and store job-related information.
