Working for LCH in a secure environment is unlike any other role. We operate as a community within a community, providing services such as nursing, GP, pharmacy, dentist, optician, CAMHS, substance misuse, health promotion, and physiotherapy.
As a Registered Clinician Nurse / Paramedic at Wetherby YOI & Adel Beck, you'll work with vulnerable young people across both sites. Your role will be varied, challenging, and rewarding. Clinicians are integral to the team, participating in handovers, providing health promotion, and sharing a collaborative workspace.
This role allows you to use and develop clinical and interpersonal skills while working with some of society's most vulnerable children (aged 1018) who face complex circumstances. Its a chance to provide compassionate care and positively influence young peoples health, well-being, and future choices.
You'll work closely with prison departments, education, safer custody, and probation, ensuring holistic care. At Adel Beck, services support children aged 1017 in secure settings due to welfare or justice needs.
HMP Wetherby YOI offers excellent facilities, free parking, staff gyms, and a coffee shop, with easy access to Leeds, Harrogate, and York via the A1(M).
