      Job Overview:
      As a designated Level III Trauma Center, Lawrence General Hospital's Emergency Center treats the Merrimack Valley's most serious illnesses and injuries. The Emergency Room Nurse (RN) consistently encounters stressful situations and must demonstrate competent responsiveness to frequent critical situations with both adult and pediatric patients, and must work effectively with patients, families & co-workers.
      The Emergency Room RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through knowledge of the nursing process and age specific requirements, and by following departmental and hospital policy and procedure. Qualified candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document care, delegate assignments, relay information, make referrals, and act as liaison between patient, physicians, other hospital disciplines, and community agencies.

      Required:

      • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates (ASN) with a minimum of two years' experience in this specialty.
      • Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC within six months of hire.
