      Description:

      Trinity Health Grand Rapids Endoscopy Unit is a 12 bed unit that has 4 procedure rooms.

      Summary:

      The Registered Nurse facilitates relationship-centered, compassionate, quality care to patients through competent clinical practice and the application of the healing art and science of professional nursing.

      What you will do:

      • Preparation of patients before endoscopy procedure.
      • Instruct patients about at-home prep for endoscopy procedures.
      • As part of the procedural team you will be assisting the physician during various endoscopy procedures.
      • Provide nurse sedation during a procedure.
      • Post-operative management and discharge of patients in the endoscopy unit
      • Clean endoscopes according to manufacturer instructions.

      What you will need:

      • Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
      • Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
      • In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
      • Licensed in the State of Michigan
      • Current BLS
      • One year of RN experience in a health care setting.
      • Experience in an acute health care setting preferred; Endoscopy or critical care
