- POSITION STANDARDS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current New Hampshire LPN/RN license.
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relation skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skills are also required.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to direct and manage personnel.
- Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be willing to learn.

Current BCLS certififcation required within 30 days of hire.

- POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements.
- Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
- Physical Activity:
- Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Upper Extremity:
- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to walk approximately four miles daily.
- Push/Pull/Lift/Carry:
- Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.

- PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

- Responsible for ensuring the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high quality services in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of assisted living and that complies with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act and Resident Bill of Rights. He/she is responsible for the management and supervision of the resident associates in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

- Accurately and legibly documents all patient care activities, including but not limited to, wound assessment, patient care teaching, demonstrated progress toward goals, medication administration, nursing flow sheets and all assessment forms.

- Assists in orientation of new staff. Provides ongoing training of staff in order to provide high quality service.
- Promotes accuracy and participates in the process of monthly medication records.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the aging process.
- Participates in conducting and maintaining resident's assessments using the assessment tool for assisted living.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge regarding lifeline and PHB system, initiates problem solving if needed.
