      Qualifications and requirements
      Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

      • Basic Life Support certification isrequired.
      • ACLS American Heart Associationrequired or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
      • PALSpreferred.
      • One year of experiencepreferred.

      Department/Unit Summary

      This role supervises daily staff activities, managing and directing nursing clinical practices and associate functions within a hospital setting. It involves planning, organizing, and controlling operations to ensure quality service, compliance with policies, and achievement of departmental goals. The position provides staffing assignments, supports and coaches staff through orientation and training, conducts performance evaluations, and addresses disciplinary actions. It also facilitates staff development, resolves complex issues and complaints, and ensures effective service delivery.
