      Description:

      POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS :

      We are looking to hire a Full Time Registered Nurse for our Neuro Surgical Trauma (NeST) SDU at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise! This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

      The Neuro Stepdown Unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center focuses on caring for patients specifically with neurological injuries and illnesses. This can include patients with strokes, seizures, post-operative craniotomies, post-operative spinal surgeries, traumatic brain injuries, or subarachnoid hemorrhages.

      The schedule for this position is nights however, a days schedule may be considered depending on the candidate's experience.

      WHAT YOU WILL DO:

      • Have an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center

      • Obtain experience working in the FIRST and ONLY Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit in Idaho

      • Work in a supportive environment while focusing on specialized neuro care

      • Work with the only board certified, fellowship- trained neuro critical care doctors in the state

      • Provide next level care for critically ill neurological patients

      • Have the opportunity to grow and advance in your nursing career

      • Care for post operative patients along with patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders

      • Be part of a unit that consists of 18 critical care beds and 17 step down beds

      • The unit offers strong leadership and great opportunities for growth and advancement

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Current Idaho or multistate RN license required

      • Multistate license must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire

      • BLS certification at date of hire

      • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire

      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire
