  The Float Pool at St. Joseph Hospital provides the opportunity for experienced nurses (RN) to work throughout our hospital in a variety of units.

  Our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN will:

  • Be responsible for floating between the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry departments
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Medical-Surgical 7 Telemetry patient population
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.

  What you’ll bring:

  • Passion for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population
  • 3+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience required

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
    • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
    • Will consider candidates enrolled in an accredited BSN program
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration

  Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
