- Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.
- The RN in PAT will prepare patients for surgery.
- As a PAT nurse, your duties include overseeing intake, during which you perform an initial physical assessment and interview the patient to obtain their medical history.
- You also perform any tests the surgeon has ordered, such as an EKG, and you may be expected to draw blood for lab work.
- PAT nurses are often among the first people patients deal with as they prepare to have surgery, so you are expected to help them understand the process, answer any questions they might have, and discuss their post-surgical care plan with them.
- Associates in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma RN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN License or Compact License deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing
- Minimum of two years’ RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSBN) from an accredited school of nursing
