PAY RATE: $30.78 - $52.00
BASED ON RELEVANT EXPERIENCE + $4.50 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE

JOB SUMMARYThe Surgical unit has 41 private rooms and is located on the third floor. This unit cares for patients who are above 17 years of age who require medical/surgical nursing care. The primary population served is surgical, including, but not limited to, orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology and general surgery. This unit also serves general medical patients with a diagnosis including but not limited to: sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, skin and wound conditions and infections. Modified primary nursing is the care delivery model utilized and includes the following team members: Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Social Workers and Unit Secretary. The team is also supported by a unit-based Pharmacist, a Respiratory Therapist, a Physical Therapist, and an Unit-based Educator.
This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team. Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations.
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adolescents through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital.
