What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Triage patient telephone and electronic inquiries, scheduling appointments as needed
- Communicate test results to patients as directed by physicians
- Record medical information in electronic medical records
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Attend workshops and conferences to stay updated on best practices
- Participate in safety programs and ensure infection control compliance
- Provide coverage for floor staff and assist providers during examinations and treatments
- Coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare services and arrange diagnostic tests
- Administer injections and medications as ordered by medical providers
- Handle precertification and preauthorization of prescriptions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing
- Current NYS RN registration and license
- Infection Control Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Approximately 2 or more years of related work experience as an RN in a physician practice or hospital setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as an RN in a healthcare-related service
