- Edit fill list verification, including insurance information, last fill date, billing, and updating patient information.
- Coordinate the initiation of care with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and other providers of care.
- Maintain patient records according to HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a board-approved pharmacy technician-training program
- 2+ years of experience in a medical insurance/billing/customer service environment
- Strong knowledge of medication brands, generics, and dosing/day supply
- Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis in Excel and Access preferred)
- Data entry experience

Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for responding to inbound and outbound calls to customers while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity. This role involves direct in-person and phone-based customer interaction to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries, including questions related to pharmacy services, delivery inquiries, refill calls, and pharmacy assistance calls. The Pharmacy Technician interacts with customers to provide information regarding products, services, and timeliness of receipt of goods and services, and helps resolve any customer complaints. Responsibilities also include receiving and processing new pharmacy referrals, verifying insurance coverage, facilitating prior authorization requests, accurately transcribing prescriptions, generating reports that follow the cycle fill calendar, coordinating delivery, and serving as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries and associated needs. The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacological services by editing fill list verification, updating patient information, coordinating the initiation of care with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and other providers of care, and maintaining patient records according to HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Work Environment
100% onsite in clinic pharmacy. Fast-paced, high volume pharmacy. Shift: Tuesday-Friday (9am-5:30pm) AND Saturdays (8am-2pm) OR Tuesday-Friday (8:30am-5:30pm). Volume: 1500 scripts/week as a team. Staff/Team: 6 technicians, 3 pharmacists. On Saturdays: 3 technicians and 1 PharmD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
