  Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT

  Location: Victoria, BC

  Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is recruiting f ull-time RVTs at our 24-hour ER & Specialty Referral Centre.

  This role works closely with our ER DVMs and board-certified specialists in a fast-paced, stimulating, world-class medical environment. Successful candidates will display strong leadership, a desire to grow their skills, a positive teamwork-type attitude and a personality that can deliver exceptional customer service and communication skills. This position requires flexibility to work on a rotating schedule; however, it also a ffords a great work-life balance.

  New grads are welcome to apply and will benefit from a teaching environment that includes mentorship from experienced RVTs, advanced learning opportunities with our two board-certified criticalists , and specialized anesthesia training with our anesthesia-focused RVT and board-certified anesthesiologist.

  Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT or eligible to register

  • Perform clinical procedures; Venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment

  • Willing to further enhance technical skills

  • Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents

  • Proven ability to keep accurate patient records

  • Strong ability to problem-solve

  • A love of pets, of course!

  Compensation: $19.00 to $38.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
