      Department Overview

      The Vegetation Management Data Response (VMDR) team partners with other members of Vegetation Management (VM) as well as stakeholders across PG&E to support VM in providing clear, consistent, and accurate data responses to Regulators and other external entities.

      Position Summary

      The VMDR Senior Regulatory Analyst reports to the Data Response Manager. The role involves working with a cross-functioning team to manage the communication of PG&E’s regulatory compliance activities and commitments in Vegetation Management. The individual will support on the operation and possibly development of tools and processes that are accurate, updated, and scalable to meet ongoing/ad-hoc data requests and reporting commitments.

      This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

      PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

      A reasonable salary range is:

      Bay Area Minimum: $ 102,000

      Bay Area Maximum: $ 162,000

      &/OR

      California Minimum: $ 97,000

      California Maximum: $ 154,000

      Responsibilities typically include many or all of the following:

      • Fosters relationships with regulators, industry experts and stakeholders to proactively advocate and communicate the Company's policy, business, and regulatory positions to internal and external entities.
      • Provides analytical support for regulatory, policy and business initiatives.
      • May provide training, guidance, and instruction to less experienced regulatory analysts.
      • Leads the preparation of applications/filings, testimony, work papers and complex compliance reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
      • Assesses the potential impact of regulatory proposals, legislation, and other relevant material on the Company and facilitates intra-departmental review of such impacts.
      • Implements regulatory decisions, including interdepartmental coordination, and assists with designing new tariffs or modifying existing tariffs in response to regulatory decisions and business initiatives.
      • Attends external meetings with regulators, industry experts and stakeholders.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Serve as a liaison for overall strategy on all compliance-related requests, reports, and analysis.
      • Develop governance structure and framework for on-going/ad-hoc reports.
      • Perform and communicate data analysis insights and root causes for leadership to prioritize compliance-related business decisions.
      • Collaborate with team members on most effective field rollout of process, tool and/or reporting changes.
      • Perform research internally and externally to benchmark best compliance reporting and trending analysis best practices.
      • Assist individuals and teams on the tools, reports, and data analysis functions.

      Qualifications

      Minimum :

      • BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
      • 3 years of relevant work experience

      • Demonstrate strong collaboration, team building skills, and project management skills including building positive relationships in a cross-functional team.
      • Demonstrate strong critical and decision-making skills while balancing multiple commitments and attention to detail with autonomy.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Access/PowerPoint.
      • Proficient with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
      • Proficient with Power BI
      • Familiarity with utility operations, specifically regulatory compliance activities and commitments.
      • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulator compliance activities (FERC, WECC, CPUC, CAISO, CalFire, or related).
