Implement Moneris' regulatory compliance program to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements including daily implementation and management of Moneris' AML and Sanctions Screening Program and Privacy Office
Perform privacy impact assessments, privacy incident and breach management (including tracking remediation, corrective action plans, record keeping and reporting), respond to privacy access requests and lead customer complaints investigations
Perform sanctions screening reviews and testing, and identify and investigate AML compliance risks to our organization
Draft and maintain relevant regulatory compliance policies and process documentation
Work with Legal and Risk to track and identify trends and changes related to relevant regulatory obligations and provide recommendations
Identify and implement improvements in Moneris' regulatory compliance program, as part of ongoing evolution and improvement of risk approaches, to automate processes, increase efficiency, and reduce compliance risk
Develop, deliver, and facilitate corporate-wide training relating to Moneris' regulatory compliance program
Provide support to partners as a subject matter expert
Bachelor's Degree or above (equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)
3+ year of experience in compliance or a related role (experience in the payment or fintech industry considered an asset)
Working knowledge of Canadian laws, regulations and frameworks related to AML, KYC or privacy
Experience implementing regulatory compliance programs, including design and oversight of controls, policies and procedures
Strong analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail while dealing with complexity and uncertainty
Function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Work independently and as a team player, build relationships at all levels and achieve results
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ability to learn other programs
Excellent writing and communication skills

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
You will manage the day-to-day implementation and management of Moneris' regulatory compliance program, with a focus on anti-money laundering (“AML”) and privacy. Working with Legal, the role will support and collaborate with partners to ensure business strategies, plans and projects are implemented and delivered in compliance with privacy, AML, CASL and other applicable governing laws, regulations and Moneris' corporate procedures.
You will also support Legal in the implementation, maintenance and administration of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid work schedule.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Sr. Legal Counsel.
