      Regulatory Governance Associate – 12-month FTC

      Salary – national circa £40,000, London circa £50,000

      We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the 1st Line IWR (Insurance, Wealth, & Retirement) Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR) Governance Team, on a 12-month Secondment. We are looking for someone who is confident in dealing with stakeholders up to a senior Director-level, has good planning and organisational skills and enjoys problem solving.       A bit about the job:

      The main purpose of this role is to provide support to our Regulated Senior Managers and key stakeholders to ensure that we maintain key regulatory documentation and enable the business to make pacy decisions, safely, through their clear regulatory accountabilities. A key requirement will be to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including the IWR Executive Committee (ExCo), key IWR business and functional SMEs. This role is a great opportunity to work with a variety of people at all management levels across the whole of the IWR business.

      Some duties and responsibilities include:

      • Maintenance of regulatory responsibilities through a RACI (Responsible/Accountable/Consult/Inform) matrix management model.
      • Supporting change and transformation projects within the IWR business, where there are SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime) impacts to be considered.
      • Leading and supporting on the delivery of improvements to the way in which we articulate regulatory responsibilities for the IWR Senior Managers.
      • Engaging with key stakeholders at all management levels throughout the IWR business, managing personal relationships and representing the Governance & Assurance function around SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime).

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Superb senior stakeholder and relationship management experience i.e., be confident communicating and engaging with senior leaders and subject matter experts
      • A self-starter, able to take the initiative and lead a piece of work from start to finish, both individually and as part of a team.
      • Attention to detail, matched with excellent presentation and report writing skills.
      • Knowledge of SMCR and experience working with risk management frameworks is preferable, but not essential.
      • Proven experience working in the Financial Services industry

      • Salary – national circa £40,000, London circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
