      Salary: 44-64 K gross depending on background and experience

      BACKGROUND AND MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

      To translate this mission efficiently into action, and to ensure that Unilever complies with its own high standards as well as with the technical aspects of legislation, is the responsibility of the Global Product Compliance (GPC) team.

      Due to the diverse nature of current and potential applications for our products and upcoming regulations to comply to, there is a position of Regulatory Affairs Specialist supporting the European compliance activities within the Home Care business.

      The Specialist will deliver regulatory compliance support to Unilever Home Care Business Group, report to the Global Product Compliance Manager EMEA and will be part of the European Product Compliance Team.

      JOB SUMMARY

      • Act as a Compliance Business Partner to other functions in R&D and Supply Chain (Quality, Procurement, Innovation planners, Logistics etc.)

      • Act as project lead for assigned impact assessments and relevant compliance projects

      • Coordinate the design and implementation of compliance processes focused on European REACH regulatory requirements.

        • In particular, providing regulatory guidance and designing compliance processes in critical regulatory aspects is key, such as REACH (EC) no 1907/2006, Annex II of REACH (SDS directive) or CLP (Classification Labelling and Packaging)

      • Assess the compliance capability and quality of consultants (via scouting & piloting)

      • Independently coordinate and execute the agreed projects/ activities

      KEY REQUIREMENTS

      • Degree (min. BSc) or equivalent in Chemistry and/or a relevant education.

      • Min 2-3 years experience in Regulatory Affairs or product development (eg. Home Care, cosmetics) in FMCG or Industrial/Institutional products company

      • Experience in leading projects and impendent coordination of portfolio of activities

      • Strong communication skills, capable to pro-actively engage and communicate with partners/stakeholders across organisation and can tailor complex technical information into clear/relevant messages for all audiences

      • Knowledge of the different operational aspects of REACH; detailed knowledge about regulatory requirements related to Annex II would be an advantage.

      • Work experience with Home Care formulations/specifications would be an advantage.

      • Eager to learn, have an enquiring mind and keen to challenge status quo

      • IT skills & Passion for Data (Excel, data management systems, document management and data analysis)

      • Ability to analyse, trouble-shoot, take initiative, set priorities, drive things forward, look for opportunities for optimization and work under pressure.

      • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

      • Team player and fully operation in virtual ways of working
