What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in training and directing workflow for regulatory technician staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Collaborate with management on departmental budgetary planning and management for related activities and projects
- Participate in the review of fire management plans for assigned areas
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, codes, and safety regulations for each facility assigned
- Evaluate and resolve complex regulatory-related issues, providing recommendations to department management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline or equivalent experience in the facilities services regulatory environment
- Minimum of three years of experience maintaining fire/life safety equipment and programs
- Strong knowledge of fire, life safety, and building codes, along with regulatory agency requirements
- Basic knowledge of standard office software and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the employer's auto insurance policy
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate’s Degree in facility management or a related field
- Over four years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance
- Certification as a Healthcare Facility Manager or Certified Facility Manager
- Additional healthcare or regulatory industry-related certifications or credentials
- Additional related education and experience are preferred
