      Regulatory Services Officer – SafeWork NSW

      Sensational opportunity for a driven, customer focused administrator to support the Coffs Harbour office

      Grade: Clerk Grade 3/4
      Salary range: $75,992 - $83,211 + super (+ leave loading + accrued flex days)
      Duration: Temporary Up to 6 months (plus potential extension or future opportunities becoming available)
      Location: Coffs Harbour

      About the role
      We are seeking a self-motivated and organised Regulatory Services Officer to support the SafeWork directorate with Project Officers and Inspectors. This opportunity would suit someone with the ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment to deliver high quality customer service, and provide support to the Directorate to enable delivery of information, advice, and support to priority regulatory initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly organised, flexible, practice team play with experience in supporting a team.

      Your responsibilities will include:
      The ideal candidate must have previous demonstrated customer service experience and be capable of:
      - Responding to a wide range of requests from customers via telephone, face to face or in writing, and exercise judgment in determining matters that require escalation to the appropriate person
      - Providing timely, accurate and consistent information, support and assistance to enable delivery on selected WHS and RTW strategies and initiatives
      - Providing a range of administrative and support services to the Directorate aligned to the functions of the business area including but not limited to data entry, procurement, and finance processes, organising, and coordinating travel arrangements, ordering of stores, publications and equipment, preparation of correspondence and reports, managing emails and calendars, and organising papers and logistics for meetings and forums
      - Maintaining accurate records, customer contact information and/or other relevant information in line with public sector requirements, ensuring current and relevant information is available and relevant policies, procedures, confidentiality, and privacy requirements are met
      - Assisting in delivery of stakeholder engagement initiatives and strategies by providing timely administrative and practical support to projects and working parties

      - Demonstrate time management skills and ability to prioritise work activities and requests for information in a high-volume regulatory environment with competing priorities.
      - Ability to deal effectively, courteously, and discreetly with topical/contentious issues whilst maintaining expectations for operational efficiencies and fully recording emerging issues for escalation.
      - Ability to keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and efficient levels of support.
      - Ability to work in a team, collaboratively and share information to achieve business outcomes.
      - Ability to respond to and resolve enquiries both from internal and external customers, providing information and resources or redirect to appropriate person or business unit, if required
