Manages and coordinates the functions and activities related to General Health System governmental and insurance reimbursement. This candidate will be primarily responsible for producing accurate and timely cost reports through information-gathering, audits and thorough knowledge of contractual allowance estimates. In addition, the candidate will perform financial analysis and modeling to support organizational direction and decision making.
Knowledgeable and current with state and federal reimbursement topics, ability to work independently and correspond with fiscal intermediaries to collect all required data. Develops and manages processes to collect required data within other GHS finance departments, other GHS operational departments, and outside data sources such as governmental agencies. Reviews estimates of contractual allowances and adjustments for monthly and annual financial statement purposes. Performs quarterly tests of balance sheet accounts. Designs new contractual allowance-related tools as necessary. Updates reimbursement factors quarterly. With management team, determines impact of proposed or recently enacted changes in governmental reimbursement and alternate operating and financial structures.
Direct healthcare reimbursement experience, or experience in healthcare finance with exposure to governmental reimbursement preferred. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
