What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage all billing and collection activities for assigned programs, ensuring timely and accurate billing
- Respond to claim denials and manage third-party denials and appeals
- Collaborate with management in strategic planning for effective billing and reimbursement processes
- Maintain compliance with regulations, procedures, and standards related to billing
- Participate in the Financial Review Committee, leading discussions on pending receivables

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior medical billing experience or two (2) years of college and one (1) year of healthcare experience
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurances
- High level of PC literacy, particularly in Excel and Word
- Ability to operate independently and utilize reimbursement experience effectively
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass background checks and screening requirements

- Bachelor’s or AA degree in a relevant field
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to understand complex reimbursement structures and governmental regulations
- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including government representatives
- Experience with sophisticated automated billing systems
