      Position Overview

      Reporting to the Team Leader, the Reinsurance Analyst is responsible for processing transactions on existing insurance policies, quality control of transaction files received from ceding companies, analyzing and resolving transactions rejected by the automated processing system and processing payables and receivables. She/He will collaborate with other areas of the Administration service on a range of work mandates including internal controls and audits in order to achieve departmental objectives.

      As part of a creative, dynamic, and client focused team, the Reinsurance Analyst will be exposed to a variety of projects that will capitalize on their creative and analytic mindset.



      Responsibilities

      • Performs quality control on transaction files which includes updating the cross-referencing of codes used by clients and those in RGA’s reinsurance administrative system.
      • Ensure that all transactions reported by the clients on the insurance policies are captured into RGA’s reinsurance administrative system on timely basis.
      • Analyzes and inputs complex transactions rejected by the automated capture process.
      • Analyzes and extends premiums schedules rejected by the automated capture process.
      • Processes and tracks reinsurance premiums billing and payment.
      • Proposes prioritization levels for interventions related to transactions or extensions of premiums schedules.
      • Enters substantiated and documented analyses in departmental archiving tools (Azure DevOps, data sheets, etc.).
      • Drafts correspondence for clients regarding transactions requiring adjustment.
      • Collaborates with all Administration department divisions to achieve departmental goals.
      • Collaborates with internal/external auditors on audit assignments.
      • Any other related tasks.


      Requirements

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or relevant professional experience.
      • Experience in reinsurance administration is an asset.
      • Professional working proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is required to analyze transactional data in English and serve English-speaking clients.
      • Broad knowledge of micro-computing (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
      • Knowledge of either SQL, VBA or Power Automate is an asset.
