      Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.

      As part of the broader Home Buying team, Third Party Banking is a dedicated sales and service support channel for the mortgage business placed with CommBank, via mortgage brokers. This team is a focused sales force with intensive calling programs, designed to ensure that CommBank product is front of mind when brokers are dealing with existing and prospective clients.

      Do work that matters

      Reporting directly to the State Manager Third Party Banking, as a Relationship Manager (also known as Business Development Manager) you will be passionate about customer service, ensuring a superior overall level of service is delivered to your valued clients. In addition, you will be responsible for driving profitable business by providing strong relationship and sales support management to a client base of brokers and advisers in the promotion of CommBank home loans and banking products for the Group - this is an "on-the-road" BDM role.

      Additionally, you will:

      • Proactively develop your broker client base

      • Implement a regular client-call and visitation program

      • Lead, support, and demonstrate accountability for an aggregator relationship

      • Support our Platinum and Elite broker base

      • Use your knowledge of CommBank’s banking products to achieve business unit sales and growth targets

      • Ensure the provision of consistently accurate technical, loan structuring and policy support to brokers

      • Identify training and development needs and drive the continuous improvement of brokers’ knowledge and service standards

      • Take ownership of customer needs and identify appropriate service and product solutions

      • Ensure that settlements are maximised, and that customer retention risks are identified and proactively resolved

      • Deliver presentations to client groups and attend banking and related promotional public relations events, whilst networking and managing successful relationships

      • Be a change advocate by understanding regulatory initiatives and incorporating changes in to ongoing broker education

      • Deliver exceptional customer service in all dealings, as reflected in a positive lift in various survey results

      We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

      • Excellent industry knowledge of both local and national housing and mortgage broker markets

      • Prior experience and knowledge of mortgage/lending products and services

      • Demonstrated ability in sales, business development and relationship management, with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

      • Commercial acumen, and an understanding of credit and risk policies

      • Current, non-restricted Australian driver’s licence

      • Intermediate MS Excel skills and the ability to perform statistical analysis – preferred

      • Tertiary qualifications in a related business field - preferred
