      Summary and Qualifications

      Summary of Position

      As the ‘face’ of the Summit Church, the Receptionist is the first one to greet, direct, assist and demonstrate the love of Christ to individuals who are calling or visiting the church. Hours for this position may vary between 10 and 20 hours per week.

      Qualifications and Requirements

      • Loves Jesus and people, and has a desire to put that love into action

      • Friendly and engaging demeanor; enjoys demonstrating the gift of hospitality

      • Demonstrates a high level of patience dealing with people in all circumstances; experience with customer service is a must

      • Determination to be professional and positive in demeanor, even when it can be challenging to do so

      • Ability to remain calm in chaotic and stressful situations

      • Flexibility to handle sudden change and adapt to get the job done

      • Values ‘behind the scenes’ tasks as important to the big picture mission of the church

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills

      • An active member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

      Responsibilities


      Responsibilities

      • Champion the front desk, provide excellent hospitality and a great first impression to all guests and staff, help guide guests and connect them with who they came to see, get the answers they need, etc.

      • Answer the main phone line; direct calls and answer questions for all types of requests from all types of people

      • Be the hub of general church knowledge; answer all types of general and random questions from everyone inside and outside the church

      • Keep the front desk and reception area neat and tidy
