What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review Prior Authorizations to determine coverage for the pharmacy department
- Approve or deny authorizations and forward them to Pharmacists for final review
- Manage various health plans and handle all types of medications
- Process prescription exceptions, resolve claim rejects, and conduct member and physician outreach
- Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as per state requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence
- Experience with NHA or PTCB preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare insurance setting
