      Job Title: Pharmacist I


      Job Description

      You will utilize your clinical skills to complete utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions. You will work independently as part of a team of pharmacy professionals. Quality and performance are measured by monthly goals.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform utilization management reviews independently.
      • Meet monthly quality and productivity goals.
      • Potential to train and review specialized cases such as oncology and hepatitis C.
      • Opportunity for cross-training in other departments like Medication Therapy Management or Call Center Counseling.

      Essential Skills

      • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.
      • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
      • Two years of experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
      • Motivated self-starter with a results-oriented drive.
      • Ability to make clinical decisions independently.
      • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
      • Ability to type 35+ words per minute.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Previous experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management or Case/Care Management.
      • Retail pharmacy experience preferred over hospital experience.

      Work Environment

      This is a fully remote role and candidates can be located in any state except California, Hawaii, or Virginia. Core business hours are from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday. Newer contractors typically start between 9-10 AM CST. Shifts are determined by team bid based on seniority, and schedules may change based on business needs. Candidates should prepare for full-time schedules with potential overtime during peak seasons, which usually occur from November to May. Weekend and holiday shifts are rotated among team members. Training lasts approximately 10-12 weeks with no time off allowed during this period. Training is conducted Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST, through a mix of instructor-led sessions, videos, worksheets, and practice cases.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
