What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately code Inpatient and/or day surgery records using the ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system
- Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations according to Regulatory Agencies
- Work as a team to meet departmental goals and AR goals
- Abstract prescribed data elements from the medical record
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years or more day surgery or IP coding experience
- CCS or RHIT or RHIA certification
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AS in Health Information Technology
- Dual certification of CCS and RHIT/RHIA
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with healthcare billing and reimbursement processes
