What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct pre-bill edits and claim scrubber edits for accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and system policies
- Timely billing of all services according to departmental goals and insurance guidelines
- Analyze billing denials to identify trends for improved claim rates
- Complete daily reporting of billing indicators through various tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in hospital or medical office billing
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- General knowledge of HCPCS, CPT-4, and ICD9-10 coding
- Familiarity with payer requirements and regulations
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years of billing experience in a hospital or physician billing setting
- Experience with DDE
- Certified Revenue Cycle Associate (CRCA)
- Certified Professional Coder- Hospital Services (CPC-H)
- Healthcare-related Associates or Bachelor’s degree
