      Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
      Job Description

      We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to complete engineering projects by analyzing problems and organizing and controlling project elements. You will provide expert advice on design processes or construction methods and formulate and direct investigations or prototype, model, and system studies. You will analyze and interpret data obtained and recommend practical applications of results. This role requires the ability to perform reviews of complex calculations and design deliverables.

      Responsibilities

      • Analyze problems and establish general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes.
      • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
      • Collaborate with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on the work of others.
      • Provide effective solutions and define appropriate deliverables needed to solve client issues.
      • Approve work schedules and recommend increased resources and special equipment.
      Essential Skills
      • Proficiency in design and AutoCAD.
      • Experience supporting the design of nuclear power plants.
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
      • 3-7 years of relevant work experience.
      • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
      • Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
      • Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively interface with and gain trust of station customers.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Strong interpersonal skills.
      Additional Skills & Qualifications
      • Knowledge and implementation of client Engineering Change Control process for nuclear power generation utilities.
      • Experience designing in the Nuclear industry.

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
