  Actalent is Hiring a team of Remote Pharmacy Technician

  Job Description

  We are looking for skilled Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Florida. This role involves reviewing Prior Authorizations for determinations in a large healthcare insurance company. The Technician must approve or deny requests and send them to a Pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and various types of medications.

  Responsibilities

  • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.
  • Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls.

  Essential Skills

  • CPhT for the state
  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Prior authorization experience
  • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
  • Strong computer skills.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
  • Experience in call centers, PBM, hospitals, or specialty pharmacies.
  • Must have strong WiFi and own office space with a closed door.

  Work Environment

  This is a professional remote environment where you will work with multiple screens and within multiple systems. You must have strong WiFi and a dedicated workspace with a closed door. The company will provide the necessary equipment, including a computer, monitor, and headset. The shift requires availability Monday-Friday from 8 am-8 pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends and some holidays. Training will be conducted from 10 am-6:30 pm EST. After training, you will transition to your regular shift. This role offers the opportunity to go permanent with benefits and PTO upon permanent hire.   Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
