What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system during training exercises
- Simulate pilot actions and communications based on voice commands from students
- Input proper entries into the automated system to facilitate training scenarios
- Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
- Respond to students via voice communication system using proper phraseology
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to be understood
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Certification and experience in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab
- Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of pilot/controller communications or phraseology
