What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system during training exercises
- Respond to students' voice commands and simulate pilot actions accurately
- Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
- Complete certifications required for the role, including classroom and lab testing
- Collaborate with a team of multimedia developers, quality assurance personnel, and instructors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Clear and effective verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in air traffic control simulation labs (Tower, TRACON, or En Route)
- Familiarity with FAA Order JO 7110.65
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Basic understanding of pilot/controller communications and phraseology
- Experience in team building and collaboration
