What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate pilot actions and communication
- Receive voice commands from students and input proper entries into the automated system
- Translate displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology for effective communication
- Respond to students via the voice communication system utilizing proper phraseology
- Complete required certifications in classroom and lab settings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals
- Ability to speak clearly and be understood
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team, including multimedia developers and subject matter experts
- Certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of FAAO JO 7110.65
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
