- Conduct detailed audits of design, test data, and analysis.
- Evaluate non-linear finite element models (FEM) and assess for correct solver parameters, material models, and assumptions.
- Review analytical models and ensure consistency to engineering drawings.
- Validate compliance findings against the provided basis of certification.
- Perform hand calculations to verify key results and confirm model validity and accuracy.
- Deliver a formal audit report detailing findings, errors, and recommendations.
- Stand by audit conclusions and support regulatory review processes.
- U.S. or Canadian citizenship.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in aircraft structural engineering with progressive roles in design, analysis, and compliance.
- FAA DER or equivalent delegation status (Structures).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Office (Excel, Word), and MathCAD.
- Expertise in structural analysis and non-linear finite element modeling.
- Experience in airworthiness certification and compliance demonstration.
- Knowledge of aircraft materials, fatigue life, and maintenance planning.
- Leadership experience in leading technical teams and mentoring engineers, with the ability to assign and review work for compliance and quality.
- Experience as a Lead Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, Technical Manager, or FAA DER (Structures).
Job Title: Aircraft Structures Engineer
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced professional engineer with FAA delegation authority to perform a comprehensive audit of aircraft structural data. This individual will validate design, analysis, and test data to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements. The role is critical in confirming that aircraft designs meet certification requirements and are structurally sound, maintainable, and safe for flight.
Responsibilities
The position offers flexibility with hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in your timezone. The role can be performed remotely or on-site in the U.S. or Canada. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the president of the company. This position can be a contract or a full-time role.

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
