What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Make outgoing and receive incoming phone calls to relay information between providers and patients
- Schedule follow-up appointments and surgeries efficiently
- Provide results and information to patients while ensuring excellent customer service
- Utilize the Electronic Medical Record system and scheduling software
- Maintain organization and accuracy in scheduling tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum education and certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse
- Excellent telephone customer service skills with no hands-on patient care involved
- Familiarity with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Required typing speed of 35+ words per minute, tested during the interview
- Availability for scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a surgical scheduling or similar administrative role
- Additional certifications or training in healthcare administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems
