What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide telephonic assistance and consultation to patients, answering health questions and determining necessary care
- Assess situations and refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers, clinics, or emergency rooms
- Prioritize, synthesize, and document assessments and nursing plans of care
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Coordinate care and refer patients to other services as needed
- Perform telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentations
- Act as a patient and healthcare advocate, maintaining a safe environment and promoting quality healthcare
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current state of Texas Registered Nurse licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
- Bachelor's degree in nursing with 2 years of experience OR Nursing Diploma (3 year program) with 3 years of experience OR Associate's degree in nursing with 4 years of experience
- Ability to use typical office equipment
- Physical ability to exert force and move objects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified preferred
- Experience in telephonic triage or similar role
