      As a Renewal Specialist, you'll oversee the preparation of group insurance renewals, ensuring financial agreements align with our business objectives while collaborating with internal and external partners.

      Your focus:

      • Overseeing the preparation of group insurance and pricing of renewals and requests for modifications.
      • Making sure that the financial agreements are in line with the objectives of the business and that the quote texts reflect our administration and service capabilities.
      • Travel to participate in renewal presentations with clients (existing or future) or their advisors.
      • Working with internal and external partners (regional advisors and national consulting houses) to find pricing and product solutions that provide value to our key stakeholders.
      • Efficient project management skills to deliver on renewal execution and client financial requests.
      • Lead the production of financial statements for underwritten groups, ensuring they align with experience and insured employee benefit plans.
      • Manage the creation of statistical data as requested.
      • Travel in Western Canada: 3-4 times/year for team meetings in Calgary. Once every two months for client/advisor meetings.

      Is this you?

      • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business administration, actuarial or finance or equivalent, and 5-10 years related experience in underwriting.
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Personal qualities inherent in the position, include independence, communication skills, organization, assertive/confidence, and good analytical and synthesizing skills.

      Compensation:

      The base pay for this position is between $67,800-$82,000 annually. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus, subject to program eligibility requirements. The base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
