      Job Summary

      Coordinates transportation department customer service and relationship management. Responds to issues and requests from discovery through the resolution process (problem identification, escalation, response, and conclusion). Responsible for transportation service communication with key stakeholders including school administrators, parents, transportation managers, supervisors, and routers. Uses various District tools to address communication of bus route, student pick up and drop off concerns. Participates in transportation services initiatives that address student bus safety to provide consistent communication with schools, principals, and parents.

      Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential and position specific duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required. Regular and reliable attendance is an expectation of the job.

      Essential Duty 1:

      Oversee customer service process for the department. Including consistent communication with parents and school administrators. 360° Stakeholder Concern Resolution-gathering facts, figures, and tracking progress and ensuring appropriate responses are provided.

      Essential Duty 2:

      Uses ServicesForYou or other helpdesk technology to keep abreast of all new concerns related to transportation. Work with Transportation Managers and Supervisors to ensure closure of tickets in a timely manner.

      Essential Duty 3:

      Liaison to Family Information Center and Transportation Dispatch to address critical concerns and issues during high-volume periods such as school startup and transition periods.

      Position Specific Responsibility 1:

      Create metrics and other analytical information related to bus stop request, on-time performance, and eligible student ridership. Utilizes appropriate tools to review and report on efficiency & performance of services, runs simple analyses to identify on time arrivals and departures. Analyzes student transportation concerns and helps develop plans for improvement.

      Position Specific Responsibility 2:

      Participate in Transportation Improvement Initiatives to ensure collaboration with and communication is effective with stakeholders including the school administrators, parents, supervisors, drivers and monitors.

      Position Specific Responsibility 3:

      Develops and implements best practices related to student safety and customer satisfaction to continually improve the experience of services and minimize the risk of repeat issues.

      Performs other duties or tasks as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities in this job classification.

      Education and Experience Requirements

      Education (training/degree):

      High school diploma or GED required.

      Associate's degree preferred.

      Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required:

      Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

      Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.

      AED/CPR Certified preferred

      Experience:

      Five (5) years or more of progressively responsible experience in a related field. Bi-lingual preferred.

      Meal Deduction – Most Bransford office and district level employee have a meal deduction. They are scheduled 8.5 hours per day and get an hour lunch. Itinerants and retirees get a 30 minute lunch period and therefore do not have a meal deduction. All school based employees will not have a meal deduction. Auto Meal Deduction

      Travel – Itinerant non-exempt employees who travel will be using the time clock differently than others and are paid for travel time between work locations. Employee does not or seldom travels

      Compensatory Time vs. Overtime (Support Non-Exempt Employees only) – Does this department have overtime budgeted, i.e. Maintenance, Transportation, Food Service. If not, employees accrue comp time only. Employee can only accrue compensatory time
