Job Description
- Req#: 895043
- Physically transport firearms from warehouse receiving area to firearm check-in area.
- Unpackaging and accounting for firearms received from warehouse in relation to receiving documents.
- Examine packaging and inspect for shipping damage, unpackaging firearms and verifying firearms are unloaded.
- Data entry tasks that include entering warranty cards and information into Salesforce
- Enter customer’s address, telephone number, serial number of the firearms (if applicable), or description of the item into the system, confirming that the return address is not a post office box, but a physical address.
- Assign work order numbers to the customer’s folder and returned item.
- Repackage the customer’s firearm. If the packaging is insufficient, ensure that the firearm will not be damaged during return shipment.
- Call customer to verify missing or incomplete information [ex. incomplete address]
- Call customers to inform them of quotes.
- Ensure that all documentation assigned to a specific work order number accompanies that folder and firearm or product.
- Transfer folder and firearms and/or firearm products to the Gunsmith Department.
- Responsible to break down all cardboard and to transfer to dumpster.
- Have all firearms checked in and entered folders (as by Law) within 24 hours of receipt.
- Verify firearm Gunsmithing Department transfer documentation and physically transport completed firearms from gunsmithing area to warehouse shipping area.
- Perform data entry of customer information into automated systems, such as warranty registration.
- Respond to customer inquiries and issues via the RightNow Technologies Customer Service portal.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- Utilization of PC and Internet-based applications.
- Lifting to 40 lbs.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge [Microsoft Office, Email, Teams]
- Be able to type up 30-40 WPM
- High school education required.
- Firearm knowledge preferred. [Not required]

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the Return Product Data Entry Tech is to ensure that all products returned to the Customer Service Department for repair, inspection, cleaning etc. are accurately entered into the system utilizing the correct serial number, name, address, email, telephone number (if available), and description (in the absence of a complete serial number.) This will provide the proper tracking, status, and critical information necessary to quantify, by product code, the number of firearms and products sent to the Customer Service/Gunsmithing department. Performs supplemental customer service functions as required.
