- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data science, statistics, epidemiology or comparable position
- Master’s degree in data science, statistics, epidemiology, or comparable field
- Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Proficiency with public or clinical health programmatic, policy, or economic evaluation and/or research; Demonstrated understanding of current and seminal literature in public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, health economics etc.
- Proficiency with SAS, R, Stata, SPSS or other statistical analysis software
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills and strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Medicaid data
- Experience with geographic information system mapping

Public Health | Center for Health Outcomes, Policy and Evaluation StudiesThe Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Evaluation Studies (HOPES) is the community’s partner and Ohio State University’s home for health policy and health services research. We provide evidence for policies and programs that work to improve health equity.
We are seeking a Health Services Research Analyst to support our team of evaluators and researchers with study design and data collection, management, analysis, reporting, and visualization. They will perform basic and advanced statistical analyses, including but not limited to: multivariate techniques, multiple and logistic regression, factor analysis, and difference tests. They will also support the development of study design and methods by calculating sample size, conducting power analyses, and advising on appropriate statistical tests. A successful candidate must have team science experience with interest in building and enhancing academic-public partnerships for clinical and public health improvement. Grant writing, research development and planning, and research translation and dissemination experience is desired.
Duties:
50% Data collection design, cleaning, management, analysis, reporting, and visualization
20% Supporting writing of manuscripts and project reports
10% Project meetings and coordination; Partner engagement
10% Research planning and study design for grant applications
10% Other duties as assigned
