      What You'll Do:

      The Adjutant General's Department is looking for an experienced Reproduction Equipment Operator 2 professional. Successful candidates will have knowledge and safety practices pertaining to reproduction equipment.

      • Operates photocopy, microfilm and/or related reproduction equipment to produce copies
      • Refills/replaces supplies (e.g., paper, toner) in machines; cleans, adjusts & performs routine maintenance on equipment and/or arranges for major repairs by service representatives
      • Operates peripheral equipment (e.g., bindery machines, microfilm viewer, microfiche readers)
      • Inventories & orders supplies
      • Performs miscellaneous clerical duties (e.g., answers telephone; receives & opens mail)
      • Provides Customer Service, tracks and logs inquires and request for document and/or information either by walk-ins, telephone, email, faxes, or mail from former/current military members, various agencies, (e.g., Veterans Administration, recruiters, investigators, and funeral homes, etc.) for verification of military service or other military documentation using computer-automated programs for retrieving electronic & microfilm records
      • Retrieves documents from various medias: federal system, microfilm, and microfiche
      • Ensures military records of former Ohio National Guard records are protected and secure in accordance with all federal and state laws and regulations
      • Independently operates system of data collection & records maintenance (i.e., hard copy & electronic records) for The Adjutant Generals Department which includes Army and Air National Guard military records
      • Maintains inventory of records
      • Establishes retention periods based upon their administrative, legal & presents retention schedule in accordance with Federal Law and Records Management Section of Department of Administrative Services
      • Acts as backup for Mail Room Clerk, assists in mail room and printing services operation (e.g., picks up mail, sorts and delivers within department, distributes publications, provides messenger service downtown, assists customers with Federal Express packages, processes UPS mail, certified mail, operates mail meter machines and scales, etc.)
      • Drives state vehicle to local post office and downtown state buildings to pickup and drop off mail
      • Ensures the security and handling of suspicious mail operations for the state
      • Responsible to oversee the security of mail, (e.g., x-scanning) operations

      The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the applications. The ideal candidate, at minimum, must meet one of the following options.

      Option 1

      Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading & writing common English vocabulary; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of reproduction equipment (e.g., photocopiers, microfilm equipment); 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures.

      Option 2

      4 mos. exp. as Reproduction Equipment Operator 1, 12421.

      Option 3

      Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
